Has anyone had the sleep test done to see if you have sleep apnea? Wondering if it is worth it?

although i despise my "little buddy", yes it is worth it. if i don't wear it for a few nights in a row i can tell. i was having night sweats really bad (big clue that body is working overtime trying to get oxygen) and snoring really LOUDLY..according to my wife.

Yeah it's worth it. Not only for the reasons already mentioned, it can kill you. That's what killed Reggie White.

When I had my test done it should that I stopped breathing 58 times pet hour on average. My oxygen level was dropping into 70s. I was to the point that it was dangerous for me to drive due to dozing off, I have a ten minute ride to work but could not remember what I saw on the way. Now with the machine everything is great so yes it is worth it.

Yes, I have it too, but the machine really doesn't seem to help me much. My wife loves it though.

Where did y'all go to have the test done? And what safety feature does that thing have to keep you breathing if the power goes out

hamilton, ms at pioneer sleep clinic....none, you take it off if the power goes out. it's not a ventilator, just assisted/forced air....the suffocating feeling is the "safety feature", i suppose!ha

so, do they make a Bane style mask for those things. That may add some cool points but scare the kids at the same time.
