Ole Blood Dog put me on a good one

So I was lamenting to Nathan before the season about the fact that I lost my lease this year and he casually told me to come with him during the rut. I thought to myself "ah, that's sweet" but didn't really think too much of it. Well a couple weeks ago, he texted me a bruiser he shot and said, seriously, you need to come up. they are running like crazy. So I did.
It couldn't have been more perfect. a couple monsters chasing 3/4 of a mile away, so we settled into the ground blind and waited. about 5:00, this fella comes out at 275 yards and starts messing around with some of the deer in the plot. we get the video camera situated and Nathan gives me the go ahead. I shoot him through the shoulder and he takes off. we replay the video and see it's a good hit so we give him 15 minutes and then go after him.
blood everywhere. i mean everywhere. for 100 yards, then 200 yards. then we jump the joker up. And we follow blood another 200 yards and see this guy on the ground trying to get up. I really think he bled out. I put another round in him just to be sure.
Anyway, here he is. sorry for the blurry pic. we were seeing spots when we had to drag this joker 400 yards back out.

Thanks again, Nathan. now post that video!
