Old friend...

Postby johndavid78 » Wed Nov 19, 2014 9:42 pm

10 years old and I think she has herniated disk, she is drinking but not eating...doesn't want to move, much less walk.

I've had her just as long as my oldest daughter...kinda bummed is an understatement

Man, am I sorry for what you're going through! She reminds me of my old friend that I lost this year. He was 12, one year older than my oldest son. Similar spine issue/tumor. He never stopped eating, but when he couldn't walk and it seemed I couldn't keep him comfortable, there were no real options. As a friend told me- when the time comes, ending their suffering is the least we can do for what they give us. Give her an ear scratch for me, and I wish you and your family the best.

That's a tough deal to say the least. Sorry about your dog.

I'm sorry for your loss. That's always a hard choice to make but it's best for her to not suffer. I feel for you because I've been there. Cherish the memories...
