Check tour dates, Sturgill Simpson is about to make a lap through MS soon. I know he is stooping in H'Burg and Oxford.

Saw Eady in Steamboat last year and was impressed. I didnt realize he was from Jackson until later. Wild eyed serenade is a good one too. Met his parents at Duling Hall one night and Arden is trying to get him to come play soon.

105.5 is out of Indianola and is the only thing i've listened to since I found it. Haven't even changed it during what few commercials it has.....

I get the reporters review, however.......
Bob Dylan got booed offstage for plugging in his electric guitar at Newport Folk Festival in 1965 but it worked out okay for him. The non electric Pete Seeger fans never wavered, but the hipsters embraced the new sound.
There is no way to monetize (get paid) a rhinestone suit, big hat and a steel pedal guitar. Not exciting, nobody's buying. Take your shirt off and rap, get paid.
The concert in question is about marketing, and not heartfelt music. They sold a lot of t-shirts and iphone covers, and that's what counts.
"The times they are (always) changing" - (sorry Bob)
I got a gold record (Kentucky Headhunters) just for jiggering the Billboard Country charts for the Nashville mafia back in the day. (1989) I didn't want to get whacked and in the big picture it didn't really seem to matter one way or another. Dolly Partons "White Limozeen", who cares.
2014 ain't no different.
boog the crusty & jaded.

I think that the analogy remains constant regardless of anybody compared to any other body.
Dylan remarked that the Beatles were silly and had no serious message, Lennon said Dylan sounded awful. Who was right?

I tend to agree wholeheartedly with the article, though it is the state of things right now. I feel certain that the musicians from the Hank Williams days were quite disturbed when Christopherson, Hank Jr., Waylon, etc., came on the scene. Heck, Waylon even wrote a song about it, "You sure Hank would have done this way?".

Aldean and Luke Bryan have more traditional country songs on their early albums. Even their current albums have a few good songs. They just never make it to radio. Luke Bryan is a pretty good songwriter. The problem is that bro country is what the teenagers and college kids love so that is all you hear on the radio. And yes Fla Ga line is pathetic.

I am a dinosaur. I admit it. I don't care.
It ain't country just because they play it on the same station as Conway Twitty.
should be on the same station as gaga and jay z
