Has anyone ever tried to eat this fish? Supposedly they are really good tablefare and are now on the menu at fine restaurants, but are being marketed as "Silverfin". The next sumbitch that jumps in my boat is gonna go for a swim in hot peanut oil.

We had a company in town few months ago that are putting in a silver carp plant and they cooked us some. Surprisingly good, tasted like a greasy pork chop with more bones. I would eat it again.

They cooked some up on a cooking show not long ago. They passed them around the restaurant and everyone seemed to like them.

bury one under each tomato plant you put in the ground. they do wonders for fertilizing to'maters.

If they pay well enough I may renew my commercial fishing license and get my nets back out.... I used to wear them out in my gill nets, but never had anythign to do with them. Depending on the logistics of getting them to the plant and the pay, it may be worth it to start fishing the river again.
