It's a cross between wheat and rye, right?

Yes I think its a Hybrib whaet and rye???

I don't know much about it other than it is used a lot as a cattle forage. I don't have any experience with it as a wildlife planting.

I planted some in a custom blend last year, it did very well on some well drained mixed ground in the delta. Planting a lot more in different blends this year.
