Wow! Hate to hear that. Always enjoyed his voice. He was god at what he did & was a Rebel through & through.

Re: Stan Sandroni R.I.P
I actually liked Sandroni. God he made me laugh so hard one day.
Ole Miss was playing Vandy. Vandy was up 23-20 in the 4th qtr. Ole Miss makes a FG to tie it up, and David K lost it.
The Rebels have taken the lead ! The Rebels are now on top 24-23 ! The Rebels are now in control !
Sandroni then whispers over the mic to Kellum ..... David, we're only tied now.

She had been turned down repeatedly by numerous stations........well she is still working in TV business 27+ years later and is Kathy Lee Gifford's side kick.......Hodi Kotb on the Today Show! Couple years ago the crew on today show had one person that influenced their life the most and Hodi picked Stan........flew him up there and whole ball of wax......
i went to church with Stan and saw him every Sunday. he was a good guy and a proud Mississippian!

RIP Stan.
Growing up in the Delta in the 70s, everyone knew or knew of Stan Sandroni, the voice of Delta State sports and proprietor of a popular hangout.
Will always remember his radio play by play calls of the Delta State Lady Statesmen back in their heyday of competing for and winning national titles --- Debbie Brock, Lucia Harris, etc.
Will also never forget Stan's Pressbox bar in Cleveland. Spent a good bit of time and $$$ in that place ( as well as Sharpstreet Station). Started going to these places when I was 15 years old ( yeah, I know what some are thinking ---let's just say it was a different era in time).
After Stan's move to the Ole Miss broadcast booth/on field commentary, he became a fixture associated with Ole Miss athletics. When you heard Stan's distinctive voice, you knew you were listening to the Rebels.
Stan, a fine gentleman and sports broadcaster, will be missed.
