Do not insure utvs, atvs or boats through homeowners insurance or riders to homeowners. A claim could make your homeowners insurance increase to be cost prohibitive or even result in a cancellation. Always use a separate policy.

I have a separate policy i run thru business that covers work related issues........crash,submerge, stolen, employee jack up,etc.
I have 2 wheelers i pay $450/yr.........2012 Honda 420 AT and an old 2004 foreman.

Also, unless used to service and maintain the adjacent property, a 4 wheeler is not covered under your homeowners. This is one of the most common miscoceptions in insurance I run across. A subdivison lot doesnt qualify. Sure someone may have this work sometimes, Ive had it work before, but if at camp or on a trailer, or whatever, its a hard sale to get it covered.
I second not having it attached to your homeowners as well. Insurance companies weigh heavily on the ratings at renewal.
