Millet Experiment

The past two seasons, I have planted jap and browntop millet in our east impoundment with moderate success. I replaced 5 acres of the field with corn this year and planted the rest with forage soybeans. The beans became quick deer crap after two weeks of growth so I prepped and planted jap and browntop like previous years. Usually, I fertilize with 250#/acre of triple 17. I decided to try liquid urea (45-0-0) at 12lbs per acre this year in place of the triple 17. I was really surprised at the growth over just three days. I found army worms in this field Thursday so i added Asana XL to the tank along with the liquid fertilizer and sprayed Friday.

You must've dripped the liquid urea in?

Oh ok. I was just thinking about Nsol. It would've burned that millet to a crisp if sprayed over the top.
