The complete six gun system by banks is one of the best at putting extra horsepower to pavement. The system comes with the big head turbo, 4 inch exhaust, cold air intake, six gun engine module, transmission module and scanner. Im not sure if your super familiar with the 6.0 engines but if you havent already done some mod work to the engine itself they dont handle any programming well. It can lead to some pretty serious head and injector issues.

As bad as the 6.0 has been, the 6.7 is worse.

At no point should it be acceptable to buy a $50k truck and have to spend $3k plus to keep the motor from detonating. I'm not saying, I'm just saying....

The head failures with the 6.0L is related to the Torque to Yield (TTY) head studs. With the head studs already torqued to their yield strength, any extra pressure causes a deformation/failure. When you increase fuel to make more power, you increase cylinder pressure. That increase is what pushed the head studs past their yield strength. Then you add in the Oil cooler clogging which increases the temperature on the EGR cooler because they are in series to one another and the EGR cooler weld fails from the increase in high end temperature. Early 6.0L had turbo oil drain failures, but later models were updated and not subsequent problems. Yes poor design, but nothing more than the 4R100 diode failures in the 2001 7.3L trucks. Ford tried to save money on those transmissions, but a single diode was prone to failure due to the reduction in cost of the diode. 1999 is the best oldest year from an engine perspective as the 1999 7.3L had forged rods. All other years had the compressed powder rods or Powder Modular Rods. 2002 is the best youngest year 7.3L as it had the updated 4R100 transmission and had the highest output 7.3L. Oh, and 2002 is when Ford started with clear headlights.

The 6.0L is still a solid engine with the updates.

That said, the early model Duramax engines were not much better than the 6.0L with their head warping problems.

Back on topic: what scans are you trying to do? There are better "tunes" out there besides Banks and Bully Dog, but wondering what scans your trying to do.

What is so bad about the 6.7 motor compared to the 6.0 mentioned above? Haven't heard of many motor problems out of those other than the 2011 model turbos failing on some.
