Steel cased 223/5.56

Postby teul2 » Thu Apr 17, 2014 12:19 pm

There seems to be a lot of steel cased 223/5.56 out on the market these days at good prices. Wolf, WPA, Tulammo, etc. Like 500 rounds for $130.
What are the issues with these rounds?
If I buy a bunch for plinking, and don't shoot it relatively fast, is it going to rust?
How are you all storing yours to prevent rust?
Looking for 2 duck calls from Dominic Serio of Greenwood (ones for Novacaine)

I had a case hang in my rifle on the 23rd round. It was Tula ammo. It took a brass cleaning rod and a hammer to dislodge it. I sold all of it that I had and won't shoot anymore steel case ammo unless things get very dire!

I haven't shot any personally so I can't speak to that, I don't buy it because I can't reload it
