Disability insurance
Who do you have yours through? About to shop around for some and want to see who the majority use. I've got a feeling a trade organization will be best deal.

Re: Disability insurance
You'll definitely get discounts through an organization. I got 25% off through mine. I'd get the policy from one of two companies though........1)Guardian......or 2)Mass Mutual. Those are the two best when it comes to Disability. Guardian is going to be more expensive but is the Ferrari of Disability plans. It also depends on what your profession is as far as what you want. Guardian has the best "Own Occupation" clause.....meaning if you use your hands a lot and something happens to one of them, you can go to a different less paying job where you don't use your hands and still collect on the policy to make what you were making before the disability. Some don't need a good "own occupation" clause though.

i know a fella at northwestern mutual that would love to talk to you....and all your friends....and all their friends.......
Re: Disability insurance
Very carefully check the definition of what is "disabled." And very carefully check your elimination period.
