black hills, rental car?

For those of you that have done the black hills public hunt. do you think you could do it in say a mid size rental car. or would you need an suv? if suv, 2wd? feel free to pm if you prefer.

Jeep Cherokee......not a car. You can ride all over that place especially on the south end, but rocks will tear a car apart. We got a jeep and it was perfect.

If you're flying into the Rapid City area rent your vehicle from Casey's auto rentals. He's an honest guy and we've rented a jeep Cherokee from him the last several years

ill be there the last week of april and first week of may. we are renting a 4wd suv. that is what everyone has suggested
