Just saying...a 300 win mag with a suppressor would be awfully fun!

that makes me want to suppress my FN P90. I bet that thing would be bad to the bone.

This is the gun I just received for Christmas. I got it to use with my DPR .308 can. It is a Lew Horton Remington 700 SPS with a fluted threaded barrel. I didn't like the green Hogue stock and I wanted something that nobody else had. Van's ordered it for me. It looks much cooler in person!

I had the Rem 700 .308, but it was stolen, shot it suppressed a majority of the time. It was fun. Now I have migrated over to the .300blk. I currently have 2 ARs, 1 handi-rifle, and the Rem 700 in the .300blk.

If mainly using for suppressed use, I would go with a bolt or single .300blk. With the BLK you can shoot heavier boolits (cast 240s and 247s) since you can get better twist rate (1:7") on BLK, less case capacity so you don't have to use trail boss for subs and less risk of case expansion/rupture, and you can still drop down to a 110-125 for 2300fps or 150gr for ~ 2000fps.

Just a thought.

I'll post pics when I get home or tomorrow when I get back to office. I usually shoot my .300BLKs suppressed. No shots over 100 where I hunt, and anything further would have to be head shot. The .300BLK has issues with boolit expansion at such low velocities and so will the .308 since it essentially the same round, one just has a bigger case.

However, Outlaw State Bullets and Lehigh (sp?) have developed some boolits that provide better expansion at subsonic velocities. I have been unable to get my hands on any and they aren't cheap. But I will update as soon as I have any information.

I forgot to mention in my first post, but Nikon has n inexpensive scope with a .300blk sub/sup reticle. I have one on the Rem 700 and one on an AR. Pretty handy piece of glass.

I have a Savage 10 Percision Carbine with a Nikon Monarch Gold 2.5x10x50 30mm that I would sell. It doesn't have the threaded nut on barrel from factory but it is something you could get a gunsmith to do for not a lot of money. I am looking to make somebody a great deal on this gun / scope and all. Located in Brandon
