And another thing

How do you know you've seen more Benelli's than him?
Are you the Jesus Christ of shotgun accountability?

I've had a SBE for quite awhile..... Since 05 or so. Shoot it quite a few times during a year 8) (besides this year). It stays in the water

It has a spray painted barrel and I $#!+ you not I wash the damn thing out in my bath tube with scalding hot water and then spray it down inside the chamber with rem oil a day or two before turkey season every year. That's it. Never seen the inside of my damn stock or butt spring or magazine tube but she goes bang when I pull the trigger unless I forget to load the thing then I get pissy.

Maybe I got lucky or maybe it's a bad ass gun. I don't know...

I love the thing so much I went and bought another one just like it in case I lose the original one

BR549 you sound dumb with the gun gonna shoot somebody cause the spring is dirty. Come on dude
Get em WET!............Their feet that is.

The recoil spring has nothing to with it going off, that's retarded. If you are still having a problem get some almost boiling water dump in some 409 and let the parts soak scrub with tooth brush take out and let em dry. Then oil em up.
