There is a liquor store right on the main drag in Mountain Home (Baxter Co. is no longer dry). Been going there my whole life (a lot of family in Mtn. Home). Fish the White and Norfork. Get a map (there a lot of public access points). I believe Blue Ribbon Fly shop is now closed, but if it's still open then stop in. For a guide, try Davey Wotton and his wife, T-Bird. For golf, Bull Shoals has a course, there's Twin Lakes, but Big Creek is the nicest/newest (not a bad track at all).

Lots of white people, lots of old people, lots of old white people.

Limited cell service...NO freakin' cable. Where the White and Buffalo Rivers meet. OUTSTANDING trout and good smallmouth fishing. Nice cabins, boat rental boat ramp and a killa view. Y'all have fun

Norfork River resort is a great place to stay. All you bring is groceries. They supply the rest. Wade right in front of cabins. Guides also available for float trips. Very good affordable way to go.
