Nissan Titan Owners MPG ????

Postby jtdumallard » Wed Jan 15, 2014 2:18 pm

Looking at getting a 2010 Pro-4X. What kind of gas mileage can I expect for daily driving? I don't travel much anymore during the week but do drive 25 miles one way to work everyday. Seemed to have found a pretty good deal on one need to know how bad my wallet is going to hurt filling it up.

I had a 2004 titan that the gas mileage sucked. The best I got was 15 mpg. Prolly had something to do with my foot, cause that thing would fly.

Have a 2008 Titan SE 4X4. Like everything about the truck except gas mileage but there are enough positives that I deal with crappy mileage. In town I get about 12 mpg but I do have oversized tires on it. The stock size tires were only giving me 1-2 mpg better. It will pull anything I want it to, rides plenty comfortable, tons of interior room, and will absolutely fly if I want it to.

I have a 2010 Pro4X king cab. I get 16-18 mpg with oversize tires...I've driven a Nissan Titan 4x4 since 2007...love em, hard pressed to think I'd ever own another full size pickup

I have a 2004 Titan LE 4x4, it's one of the toughest trucks on the road, also one of the most mait. free trucks, gas milage does suck 11 city 14 hwy, but the 5.6 has scarry power.

I get about the same as all the other guys. Driving an 08 pro 4x long bed with oversize tires. This is my 2nd Titan the first was on 05. Both of mine were and have been good trucks just the had normal wear and tear but definitely not falling apart.

If you’re looking for a gas miser, move along. If you want a full-grown pickup with power to perform and handle heavy loads, he’s your guy. I do not own a Pro4X, but am very close to them & can tell you that it’s a stud of a truck with awesome torque when needed plus a roomy interior & good ride.
As others have said, fuel economy is not great especially when you shower down on it! Looking @ around 16-17 mpg avg. If you want a vehicle with this level of capability, it will deliver this level of fuel economy.

I use mine like a truck is intended to be used & has yet to fall apart. I bought it the first year they were made by the way.

I think you’ll be pleased.
Costs less than $75 to fill it up currently.

I've owned 2 titans. A 06 and 09 both 4wd. Got about the same gas mileage as a the other guys but it was worth the sacrifice on my wallet because the trucks really are maint free other than your normal stuff..oil,tires, etc. Loved both of them and will never own any other half ton truck other than a Titan.

15 is what I average with a 2012 4x4 Crew Cab with tow package. The 13's and newer have a few minor changes that will help slightly. Also, the ones that aren't Pro-4X and without tow package have a higher rear gear and are a little better on gas...my dad gets 17 with his 2010 crew 2WD without tow.

Ended up buying it. Gotta get some stock tires back on it and get these loud mud grips off. So far it rides and drives great.
