BRANDON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
It's not exactly Elliot Ness and the Untouchables breaking up one of Al Capone's illegal alcohol operations, but law enforcement officers busted a moonshine still in Brandon Tuesday morning.

The still was located in a Brandon Townhouse. Agents found the moonshine in pint and quart jars in what appears to be a garage area, and a 55-gallon barrel in the closet.

Police says a maintenance man discovered the still and called Brandon Police. They called Alcohol Beverage Control and their agents busted the still.

One person was arrested but his name hasn't been released.

It was only a matter of time. With the reality show and the marketing of moonshine by liquor stores you know someone is going to try it. I bet they start popping up everywhere.

Sounds like they should have given the maintenance man a few jars up front so he would keep quiet.

Never even know it had anything in it unless you saw it made it is that smooth

A guy I know used to make the best apple pie moonshine around. He used to make a handsome supplementary income from it too. That guy got born again and retired though.
