Gotta admit, Ronnie is pretty talented planting birds for upland. Cory Botts is real good at it also.

I have had plenty of time in my life making things drunk so birds are no problem hahaha . There kinda like me just sit there once drunk enough

Upland spot has been secured... It will be on east side of Hwy 61 at the north end of Floweree Rd which is the road mahannah is on... Tried to keep close to site so this worked out great

all stakes in reg test will be Fresh killed mallards like always...the birds are right at 52 weeks old just like we had last yr...be floating high on the water....the Upland will be Quail ..according to the MDWFP you can only use pen raised Quail that have to be banded or marked ...chukars cant be used because they are not a native bird of MS...We were hoping to be able to do the upland on the WMA but the dept said no last week after all the planning and being told we could...but no biggie the upland will be north of the Mahannah Entrance at the north end of Floweree Rd across Hwy 61 on some private land i secured last Fri

Just hung up with MDWFP. As long as you aren’t training on state or federal land, the use on non-native game birds (i.e. chukar or pheasants) is permissible as long as you have taken the following steps:

1-      Birds are identified as being pen raised by either banding, clipping a toe, or painting a leg

2-      You must have a valid health certificate available for inspection

Ok ...I was just stating what the LEO told me...they just cked a group of guys two weeks ago ...thats why they were telling me only quail could be used...but thats bout par ...one says one thing one says another...and we wonder ...lol
