either way you want to look at it, the man with the paddle going upside someone's head because someone called him a name is committing a felony. in the eyes of the law of a civilized society, he is no better than the trespassing poacher, the road hunter, the spotlighter, the house burglar, truck thief, the meth dealer, or the rapist.

You're a dumbsombeech to say that hitting someone with a boat paddle is the same as rape, or selling meth...

So what is the right thing to do here? Stand there, take a cussing, and have your hunt ruined? Im not saying hit the guy with a boat paddle (unless he's a big sumb!tch) but any man that calls another grown ma a m'fer better be prepared to tote or give an booty whooping!

Would you say he deserved it if it was your dad, brother or best bud? All over him calling someone a MFer? Heck ive been called worst!

What gets me is its like no one cares about him being sucker smacked by a paddle. Think of how many arguments youve been in over a spot or something. Been funny then if you were on the receiving end?

Another thing is how these guys from MS handled it. Yall are middle aged men and some of you have young kids and married. Guess yall set a good example for your fellow hunters and families. Thanks

Isnt this assault with a deadly weapon also? It just didnt happen and aimed to hit at a certain spot. Like using a baseball bat.
May the wind always be at your back and the sun upon your face, and may the wings of destiny carry you aloft to dance with the stars.
Cheers, Georgie.

Does calling someone a "dumbsonbeech" meet the threshold for a paddle to the head, or is there a line that is crossed somewhere between "dumbsonbeech" and m'fer that qualifies for the commission of a felony?

It's not like he snuck up behind dude in knee deep water. The guys were dang near toe-to-toe.

My dad, brother, best buddy, whatever wouldn't be walking in late calling the guys that beat them to the hole mf'ers. We leave the ramp with a plan A,B,C, & D...

i didn't figure it would take long for you to start calling names...considering the company you keep.

perhaps the guy going upside someone's head doesn't have as much malicious intent as a rapist, but certainly has a callous disregard for human life. justify it any way you want, but a felony is a felony. if the guy ended up dying, which is entirely possible, your buddy would likely be looking at a felony-murder charge. is a murderer not as bad a rapist?

Miss. code 97-3-7- A person is guilty of aggravated assault if he (a) attempts to cause serious bodily injury to another, or causes such injury purposely, knowingly or recklessly under circumstances manifesting extreme indifference to the value of human life; or (b) attempts to cause or purposely or knowingly causes bodily injury to another with a deadly weapon or other means likely to produce death or serious bodily harm; and, upon conviction, he shall be punished by imprisonment in the county jail for not more than one (1) year or in the penitentiary for not more than twenty (20) years.

Wow... so is there a ladies only wma most of you frequent so as not to get cross with anyone? Or do you see someone coming in late and pick your decoys up and move to avoid any sort of confrontation when they set up too close?

To the members that are of the opinion that the guy with the paddle was right or justified in his actions....shoot me a PM or call me if and/or when you are made to wear the silver bracelets. I'll see what I can do.
