Decoys an rig em right
Decoys an rig em right
What decoys hold up good with these rigs so the paint doesn't chip off it get damaged thru the year?
I like the Dakota decoys but they sure are high an not sure how the flocking heads will hold up thru the years

The flocked heads on the Dakotas will only last a couple of seasons.....replacement heads are only 21.00 for 7 ...I've never had any paint issues with mine...well worth the money to me...JMO

Personally, I use Doc's Hunt-n-Stuff weights. He and his son hunt in Hunphreys County. Great guys!
I have em on my GHG decoys and have no issues.

I use G&H decoys. I dipped my egg weights in rubber, cheap process and it helps protect paint.

Re: Decoys an rig em right
I have used Rig-em Right in the past, but now I just rig my own. The one main issue I had with Rig-em Right is the clip used to attach the decoy to the line would get snagged on the mesh decoy bags I used. This is a pain in the rear when it is cold, 0500 and trying to get decoys out of the bag in the dark. I ripped several Drake stand-up mesh decoy bags as well as bent the metal clips. I also noticed that after a good season of use, the clips started rusting/falling apart. This was all back about either or so years ago, so these issues with Rig-em Right may be fixed now.
I have never used Doc's products.

Metal clips stink and sliding weights suck( get your hands wet). Just make your own crimps, .100 weed cord and 3 oz bank sinkers will do the trick.

There is a place up here in memphrica, I think delta net and twine is the name. They make the good kind that you don't get your hands wet and they are considerably cheaper than catalog brand rigs.
Damn, i thought I had that one
