Browning Maxus not cycling 2 3/4" shells

Postby Side Kick » Mon Sep 23, 2013 2:36 pm

Does anyone else have issues with a Maxus not cycling 2 3/4" shells? I shoot AA Super Sport 1 1/8 oz. loads and they won't run. Is there anything I can do to fix this? The gun is super clean and I run it lightly oiled.

Look at the big spring on the magazine under the forearm cover. It's hard to tell if the spring is broke or not....if broke, it will appear loose in the housing. That seemed to be an issue with the earliest releases of the Maxus, but I think the later issues have been fixed. Just a thought.

I have a sx3 and sometimes mine won't cycle that brand but the Remington's always cycle just fine. I don't know why but it doesn't like the Winchester shells.
