Gobbling report August 2nd

Heard one hammering 15-20 times this morning. Checked my calendar and yes, it is August 2nd. He was not prompted by anything that I could hear including woodpeckers, crows, roosters, etc. Crazy...but got me all fired up!

had one stutting in front of a bunch of hens and poults on camera. Looked like he had just gotten out of a bar fight though. only had 3-4 tail feathers.

Still hearing him hammer away in the mornings - now Aug 30th. Great sound to hear, but he's merely teasing me goshdogit.
