Making that hard drive.

Postby matador1 » Sat Jun 15, 2013 8:44 am

On the way to the vet with my 14 yo lab for the last time. Being a great dog has taken its toll finally. I bought her thinking she would be the greatest duck dog ever. Instead she became the greatest companion ever. She became a house dog when my mother in law went through a divorce and wanted to "borrow" her for a guard dog. She allowed my two kids to pull, tug, and chew on every inch of her.
I feel sorry for people who aren't "dog people" they never get to experience unconditional love.

Sorry. Memories and pics can last forever. Funny how our plans often go off the rails and lead us to greater adventures.

Ugh, My heart aches for you. 14 years is a great amount of time to get to spend with one.

They aren't here long enough; but they sure do have impact on us, like nothing else can... I've lost several throughout the years. Each and everyone of them still touch my heart...

Prayers sent...

Prayers for you and your family. I know the feeling of getting a puppy with all the expectations of watching them on long retrieves. But mine never turned out, but has been a great family dog.

Just remember the good times.
