Prayers Please

Guys, I just got off the phone with one of my best buddies. His 6 month old boy just received a Leukemia diagnosis from their dermatologist and is being admitted at Batson in Jackson. They will know more details after a bone marrow test tomorrow, but could use all the prayers they can get.

Thanks,
Scott

prayers sent, we went through the same thing at 9 months old, the night we went in Dr. Smith the oncologist said his blood smear showed definite signs of leukemia, he received two doses of platelets before the bone marrow test the following morning, through prayers we received a better diagnosis in the blood smear just prior to the bone marrow test, Dr. Smith said his blood was totally different than the night before and did not look like leukemia, bone marrow ruled out leukemia, he ended up having ITP which is blood disorder where your spleen goes into overdrive killing platelets, he was cured of ITP and is back in good health for over a year now, i pray your friend gets a similar diagnosis and not leukemia, prayers work so round up the troops and send them up, if your friend needs someone to talk to please give him my number 662.871.0408, i'm sitting here with tears reliving that horrible 24 hours, if there is anything i can help them with please let me know

On it! I can't imagine how heartbroken i would be if either of my boys was in that spot. As you already know, this is the place to come for prayer support and God has proved time and again how prayer en masse can call Him to action. Placing the little guy in the hands of The Great Physician!

Just left my buddy at the hospital. Their kid is doing great, not "sick" at all so it's a bit hard to grasp what's going on. The bone marrow procedure is at 8am, and they have a great Oncologist working with them. I let them know they had a great group of duck hunters praying for them, and they are appreciative of all the prayers.

As a father-to-be I can only imagine what this is like to go through, but they have placed their trust in God's hand and have found comfort in knowing He is in control and getting a ton of prayers for their son.

Thanks.
