everyday, but especially today. The Good Lord spared a tragedy by helping my son, his buddy and mother escape a house fire early this morning. They ran out half dressed but we are thankful.
Stuff lost but its just stuff. Happy,Happy,Blessed,Blessed

Tuel2 & Carrollton fire brigade on the scene 7.5 minutes after the first beep. Ya'll are pretty quick, i guess i need to retract all those comments about riding the short bus!

It was a big fast fire. Very glad your son was out and ok.
If it tells you anything, after emptying 4 truck loads of water (two 1500gal and two 2000gal), we pumped 1/2 of the water from their pool on the fire.

It wasn't my house. Kee was staying with his friend Issac outside of Carrollton. Those boys are very heavy sleepers and we usually have to kick them awake to get their attention in the mornings.
It was a close call but thank God everyone made it out.

so should having a pool lower your home owners insurance instead of raising it? Having that extra capacity of water came in handy.


glad everyone came out OK. Stuff is as you said just stuff. There will be some things missed, but atleast everyone came out OK.

Something I've been mulling over all day about this fire is just how lucky everyone was in this fire. There were at least 4 people in the house at the time of the fire. All were asleep. One was in bed directly above the ignition source (room over the garage). He woke up because the room had gotten so hot and woke everyone else up (according to what Kee said). He is very lucky he didn't die in his sleep from smoke inhalation.

I didn't see a smoke detector anywhere in the house that I recall. So what I am getting at is each and everyone of you guys need to make sure you have smoke detectors and they are in working order.
