I'm having steering problems with my truck. I thought it was my power steering pump but after it was replaced the truck is still doing the same thing. When the truck is cool the steering works fine, but after it is driven a little e it gets very hard to steer it left or right.
Any ideas of what this could be?
Steering problems with truck...has anyone had this problem?

Sounds like the worn out seals in the rack and pinion or rotary valve. You wouldn't notice a problem with cold fluid, but once the fluid heats up the internal leakage increases and the system can not build pressure due to the high leakage. Now this is internal leakage so you won't be seeing any leaks on the ground or low fluid.

I had wondered if it had to do with the rack and pinion, and that makes sense what you said, as I have not seen any leakage. If this is the case, will the entire rack and pinion have to be replaced, or is it possible to just replace the seal.
Thanks

Most likely have to replace the whole rack, sucks and not cheap
I am interested in purchasing duck calls that were made by Mike McLemore. I am a family member and they have a sentimental value.

Depending on your vehicle, there could be a separate control valve. This could be the problem and not the rack and pinion. But I think this is integrated into the rack and pinon on some vehicles. I am not a automotive power steering expert; I work with industrial hydraulic systems.
