Natural brakes
Natural brakes
I've always been told that if you come along a natural brake you better hunt it. I have an idea of what a natural brake is but not exactly sure. I know of Mathews brake and all those. But what exactly is a natural brake? Any help is appreciated.
Re: Natural brakes
Well, since nobody wants to explain it to you maybe I can help. This is a natural brake
Where'd who go?
Re: Natural brakes
don't hunt natural brakes they have gar in them. The term garhole comes to mind. Don't waste your time.
Re: Natural brakes
Quite a few brakes are old river or creek runs...such as the ones in Panther Creek Swamp. Some of them hold ducks, some do not. So there is no universal answer to your question. The only way to know is to check them.
Re: Natural brakes
A "natural" brake is a depression in the earth or an old creek/river bed that hold water during the wet season. Usually has trees in it that can thrive in standing water. I would guess that people say hunt them because they are usually very old and ducks have been using them for years.. way before we started using water control structures, farming rice, and pumping water. Disclaimer: I'm bored and decided to take a stab at your question since you asked a serious question and got a picture of a fat girl with underarm hair longer than mine. It is likely that I'm wrong, but it sounds good.... Trust me, I'm a doctor.
