Ask DS, Best gloves for Waterfowl Hunting.

Postby juliodux » Sat Dec 29, 2012 7:57 am

Last three days went through many different types of gloves. Everyone knows we had blowing snow, ice and rain in this time frame. Never made it past 0730 without wet hands. Help a brother out here. Point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance

Pockets.
No such thing as a good duck glove.
Looking for 2 duck calls from Dominic Serio of Greenwood (ones for Novacaine)

I am interested in purchasing duck calls that were made by Mike McLemore. I am a family member and they have a sentimental value.

Those gloves are soft, warm, and they will save ya some pain in the cold. Thanks for the look.
Folks who say no gloves can do as they like they may be surprised.

If you will break your tampons open there is a special warming/moisturizing/waterproofing cream inside that works wonders. Plus it gives you a boost of estrogen.

I don't use gloves while setting up, but for $1.50 a pop you can go to an army navy and buy shooter's mittens. They have a thumb and index finger slot and are made of some type of wool. Maybe alpaca fur, I don't know, but they are very warm. I keep them in my jacket and when sit-and-wait time comes I put them on.

Crabbing gloves for riding in/coming out/picking up/putting out. Otherwise, no gloves.

ice armors are the best i've found, i usually keepm in the jacket while putting deeks out or gettingm in, but they work rather well wet, i just hate a glove on my call hand if i can stand it
