Am I the only unlucky SOB on here that hasn't killed a banded bird in over 10yrs of hunting? I mean I went on my first duck hunt when I was 14 yrs old now Im 27 now thats 13 freaking yrs without a band!!!!! WHAT THE HELLL AM I DOING DAM WRONG!?!?!?!

I have been huntin for 11 years myself and have not killed one yet either, so says my "friends". And that is the only time one has been killed when ive been around!

Took me about 15 years to get my one and only band. Some people hunt a lifetime and don't get them. I wouldn't focus much on it. I never thought
about a band until I got mine. And it was on a bird I had almost given up on finding. Landed in a stump and I couldn't see it. Took me an hour of
searching to find the bird then I was glad I found it cause it was wearing jewelry.

I took a guy for his first time last yr he has been hunting now 4 times he took his little 6yr old son and went to a place I told him about that would good place to take him and let him see and shoot a few woodies. He called me at lunch he killed a banded woodie!!!

I have been duck hunting since I was 12, almost 2 years of hunting ducks and I have never killed a banded duck.

Besides, bands don't fry well.

I killed a banded Greenhead the first year I really duck hunted and have not even been in the blind with anyone that has killed one since. That was 12 years ago.

it took me a while before i killed one with a band, and in that same year i killed 3 with bands. Now i must be back on the duck god's $#!+ list, cause i aint seen one in a few year's

Got a buddy that's been hunting maybe 4 years mostly jus woodie huntin. 3 woodie bands for him so far.

10 years for me, no band. F-I-L hunted for over 30 years and got his first band about 5 years ago. I was with him in the pit and he was pumped!

Your not the only one. I've been at it for 19 years and haven't claimed one yet. I'm hoping it just makes the first one that much sweeter.

I have been in on 5 banded bird hunts. All mallards. I have been fortunate enought to have for sure killed one of those five. We kill a pile of freakin ducks, a pile. Mostly mallards and I haven't seen a band killed in about 4 years. I don't think they band em like they used to.

I killed a banded woodrow about 3 years ago. My buddy killed a banded mallard that year and another one the next year. Both of his were hens though.

I'd really like to kill another one, but not to be able to show off. It's always really interesting to me to hear where the bird came from and how old it was.
