Two of the Banded Black Brant we killed on the Baja were banded about 100 miles apart (red pin) and made the 3200 mile journey to San Quintin Bay, Mexico (purple pin) several times before they came into gun range.

Opening weekend on sunday killed 1 duck and it was banded drake woodie. Banded March 2008 in Radioville, Indiana. Buddy killed one second weekend on Friday banded hen woodie. Banded march 2012 in Radioville, Indiana.

I thought it was cool to kill these two ducks about 10 miles away from each other and they came from the exact same place just 4 years apart.

Both on NWR's in Holmes county

Killed a banded greenhead this morning at my farm in Holmes county. Same hole I killed my first duck in over 15 years ago. Actually it's the first time I've been back in "the duck hole at deer camp" since that first hunt 15 years ago!
