New Zombie movie next summer with Brad Pitt

World War Z. Loosely (and I mean loosely) based on Max Brooks 'World War Z'. Could be a good movie, but in keeping with making Zombies in the realm of believable, you can't have them run like Antelope. In all Max Brooks' books, he describes them as slow and un-coordinated, just like 'The Walking Dead'. That is slightly off putting to me. But I also love anything zombie, so I'll still see it.

Im with you about the dog dieing. I cant stand seeing a dog injured or dieing in a movie, much less real life.

I saw an ad for one of those "mud run" races the other day and there is one where they have "zombies" chasing you the whole time. Looked pretty sweet!

I read World War Z. I wasn't a big fan of the book, but I guess because it really didn't have a definable storyline. Just a collection of vignetts. I don't see how in the world you could turn that book into a movie.

Most of the Zombie book's I have read all feature the "walking dead" version of zombie (slow and clumsy). If you want a real challenging creature to deal with then read "the Passage" and it's sequel "The Twelve" written by Justin Cronin. It is another post apocalyptic novel that is a good read. The Passage series has a lot more involved story line than most Zombie type books that simply feature someone trying to survive in the post zombie world.
