I bought a case last year and it did fine but not noticeably different from drylocks or black clouds. Probably hype. I'll give you a box if you want to try them.

I shot some last year and it hit hard, I've never seen a bird bleed so bad.

I tried some this year for the first time. It didn't really impress me. The Remington hyper steel (or whatever it's called) for the same price really impressed me.

I've shot a box of them and wasn't really impressed much at all......Rem Hypersonice 3" #2's is my choice round.

I understand wanting to kill'em dead when you shoot them but I like to eat ducks and don't like what shot such as Blind Side and Black Cloud do to the meat. Yes they make better wound channels but that translates to more torn up meat and more feathers pulled into the meat by the shot. I hated picking the feathers out of duck breasts last year that had been shot with Black Cloud. Those ridged pellets would grab a lot more feathers on the way in and pull them into the breast. My taxidermist doesn't like Black Cloud either. I know, I know......shoot'em in the lips and I won't have to worry about the breast being torn up.

From what I've seen and heard you have to shoot their choke to get good results....same type of wad as Black Cloud???

It just doesn't seem to me that the pellet shape would allow it to pattern as well or go as far as round pellets.

It gets pretty bad after 25-30 yd range. Round pellets travel farther and faster.

"you get more pellets per round"...I dont understand how one company can put more shot into 1 3/8ths ounces than another....marketing gimmick

I shot bout a case of it last year through a X3 and noticed alot less cripples. Most of the time they were either stone died or clean miss. I will say, that when I first started useing them I was shooting a IC choke and it was like I was shooting blanks it seemed. I switched to a modified choke and it was a night and day difference. This is with useing the factory chokes, which supposedly the texting was done out of a X3 with their factory chokes.

it was all that was left on the shelves at wally world, so i grabbed a box of 3" #2...guy walks up and notices i got them and proceeds to tell me he shot 3.5" bb's the previous weekend at an unnamed wma in the Delta... "man, there was nothing left of the breast of the gadwal that i shot over the decoys!....it's all i use now..." :?: :?: :?: i didn't ask for clarification, just tried to put more space between us and prevent more unwanted "noise".

I have a friend who just came back from a sandhill crane hunt. He said the blindside shells really performed well and hammered the cranes. Penetration was markedly better. The guy he was hunting with noticed the same thing last year. Both were impressed. I'll try a box this year.
