Couple of pup's first teal hunts - 9 months old. Did good. Not huge numbers of birds up here but got him some good solid experience.

I was invited by a friend from Wisconsin to join him at his camp on the edge of the Delta Marsh. I flew in to Winnipeg, Manitoba. His place is near to town of Saint Ambroise, Manitoba. I was able to hunt with him for three days and we had three great shoots.
First day - Mix of mallards and divers on Blue Bill bay in the west marsh
Second day we hunted a smaller pond
The last morning we had to break ice for an hour to get to this open water. We had our limits in 40 minutes.
Got to see and shoot some different ducks than we normally take in Humphries county.
Good times.

LA east opener; 3 man mixed bag: teal, greys, spoons, coupla woodrows and a fathead. Waylon's first regular season hunt, 10 months old, had a blast.

specks in the spread are about as much fun as you can have with your clothes on! wish we woulda had more guns.
best start to a season we've had. me and the dog are whooped but ready to get back after em again.

While driving home, I noticed the one on the left first and took a couple of pics, then the second joined. I was hating the fact that I didn't have my real camera. Maybe they will give me another chance this week.

slowed down some this weekend but still managed some birds
brushing blinds and getting the full bodies out of the field went much better than expected!
