i've been using, deer sausage, marshmellows, peanut butter, and dog food.
i have heard of folks making up home made baits of all kinds that seem to really work good.

I trapped when I worked in Minnesota. The cheapest canned catfood in the store is very effective.

I used to trap when I was a kid, the best we ever used was sardines and cane molasses. Put it in a mason jar and mix it up into a paste.

For a repellent, try a help wanted sign.

Sardeens or Tuna, and you dont have to open the can all the way, just open some to let the smell out.

Corn seems to work well for me:

I think there are 16 or 17 of them bastages on this feeder? These things are a nuisance animal aren't they? Or will I need a de-predation permit?

Fritos!
I have trapped countless coons! I haven't found anything better! Marshmellows are a close second!
Cat food works, but you will catch house cats occasionally if there are any around.
You will also catch opossums on just about anything you will catch a coon with.
