ADS: Renters insurance?

Postby HeKing » Tue May 22, 2012 9:24 pm

Anybody you guys would recommend? I know there are some agents on here but being in TX no I don't know if I can work with you.

Anything to watch out for, good or bad? I want to have enough to be covered but not overpay for crap I don't need.

Thanks guys

Renters insurance is cheap. Max out your liability limit(300k or 500k) in the event you are found liable for burning the structure and joint properties down, as well as a host of other reasons. Remember your personal property limit normally allows 10% to be used anywhere you are, ie your vehicle if broke into. Safeco doesnt have seperate sublimit for firearms if you have several guns. Other than that, its fairly cut and dry.

Yeah, check to make sure you dont need to buy a seperate rider for your guns.

As cheap as it is, I would recommend it. It typically covers your property anywhere in the world for the full amount unless it's at a secondary residence (ie lakehouse, hunting camp) that you own or lease, the it will cover your contents at 10% of the limits..

It also comes with Liability should you need it. The best thing about that is, if someone sues you for something covered under the policy, you turn to your insurance and tell them to defend you or pay it. They pay for your defense..
Why is my mouth so dry this morning, when I drank so much last night?

It is normally cheaper to get it where you have your auto insurance. You will get the muti policy discount.
