Even though they don't sound pretty most of the time, strumming a few chords usually does the trick for me.

I know what you mean! Constantly making critical decisions can just flat worry a man to death! Just today, I had to make the decision whether to get up early and go fishin or go turkey huntin! I listened to the gobblers go to roost from the porch last night and thought I knew exactly where they were. So, I laid out my clothes and gear and grabbed a cold Bud and went down to the dock to see if the catfish were bitin good yet...and they were! Six in 30 minutes. I didn't keep any cause I didn't want to stress myself cleaning them that late...it was already 8. Then my friend calls and tells me he just caught a boatload of white perch at the lake we fish, and he also mentioned that the bream were bedding on this full moon. Lordy! Now, I've got to not only decide whether to go turkey huntin or fishin, but if I go fishin, do I fish for white perch or get the fly rod to go after the bream. Then, I started thinking whether I'd tied enough bream poppers and wooly buggers to do a proper job on the bream. What's a man to do with such weighty decision on his back?

Well, I decided to just sleep in this morning, get up, spend the whole day thinking on it, so as not to rush the decision and have regrets later on! Right now, I'm leaning toward tying flies for a couple hours this afternoon, chasing ole Tom Turkey in the morning, taking a long nap tommorow afternoon, then doing a late afternoon early evening croppie expedition. Then Saturday morning around ten... don't want to hurry myself... go check out the bream beds!

I would do some of that today, but I have a pork loin on the smoker and I have to stay close by to make sure the fire don't go out. And after a good barbecue pork lunch, I'll probably have to sit on the porch all afternoon to avoid indigestion! And what about this heat?! I'll probably have to add greasing the ceiling fans on the porth to an already long list of things I've got to get done! Lordy, what's a man to do? Well, I got to go add some hickory chips! Obligation calls. I swear, I just keep a knot in my stomach these days!

By the way, I stongly recommend the institution of retirement at an early age!

^^^^ At least he didn't post pictures of those catfish or the boat load of perch. Nothing worst than those friends you take vacation and send you pictures while you are at work of all the fun they are having.

nothing is more stress relieving that getting a piece of rough sawn wood, clamping it down, and breaking out the good ole fashioned hand planes and taking that rough piece of wood down to a glass slick piece of beauty, the crisp sound of the plane shaving the wood is a type of soothing like you wouldn't believe, so i get something done and end up with no stress, you can't beat that
