CCW

Postby Chuckle12 » Tue Apr 03, 2012 7:36 pm

Need opinions on a 9mm CCW. I don't want to break the bank, but I don't want a Hi-Point either. I have been 9mm-less for about 4 years and I feel the itch to get another one. Plus, it's a common round and that is gonna be important when society collapses on 12/21/12.

Thinking about the CZ P-07 Duty. I had a CZ75 and loved it.

I had seen this, thought it was awesome, and would love to have one. Thought it was a great suggestion considering your caliber requirement, then I looked up a price. $1100

But none the less, a small 1911 would be my first choice.
Glock 26 would be 2nd.

depends on what you want to spend but if I were to get a 9mm to carry I'd be looking at these:

kel-tec pf9
ruger lc9
springfield xd or xdm (xdm 9mm is something like 17+1)
S&W m&p
if you're a 1911 fan there are also several models in 9mm now

Sweet gun, but more than I'm willing to spend for this particular weapon. I could buy another Kimber Desert Warrior for that price!!

I'm gonna check out the XDM.

I use the Ruger LC9. It is about as big as i can carry comfortable. I have a crossbreed hoelster and. Can even where it tucked. It has a safety and
a nice loaded chamber indicater. I love mine. I have an xdm also. Its just to bigto carry for me.

I carry my 1911 in a crossbreed. Its rock solid. It stays right where you put it.

I had a Galco royal gaurd for a while with a ultra compact 1911 that worked pretty good. It shifts a lot more than the crossbreed though

You didn't ask about 380 but I just got a Sig Sauer P238 and a crossbreed Quickclip. Had an MTAC and didn't like it. The belt clips aren't as good as th Crossbreed.

Taurus makes a nice PT109 slim. It has a very narrow frame and specifically designed for CCW. You can get one for under $300.
