We roped the first 4 dogs on land as I recall. Gallery chirping really loud, ready to hang the judges. Then up comes little 10 month old little Punkin, and picks it up squeeky clean, and runs a nice blind. I turned around and winked at the gallery, and told 'em: "Just to point out a 10 month old chessie puppy just ran this test clean." Ya coulda heard a pin drop. Then the rest of the dogs did pretty well. Punkin is a trend setter.

We saw some really nice dogs, and met some nice folks as usual. And discovered that its hard to get a consistent throw from a Zinger with ducks ranging in size from normal to specklebelly sized.
So many ducks, so little time....

Pumpkin is a nice one, she has me considering a Chessie. If they were all like her or Fatty it would be great.
Thanks everyone for coming out and running or helping. We were short a few bird throwers so some of my handlers pitched in to help. That is what this is all about, everyone having a good time and helping. I got to do something for a first time this weekend, I was HTS and judge. Hope never to do that again. Thanks to all the judges for coming out also. We had great weather both days.

Alan is right- it was a very nice test from the weather to the grounds to the set ups. The two finished tests were what I, as a handler, always want--- challenging but fair. You could tell that the judges put lots of thought into these two. Of course, at the spillway, any three marks and a blind are tough!!!!! The finished judges were great. Good dialogue with the handlers, yet judged you very objectively.

Thanks for a great weekend.
