pictures from the youth hunt

Postby hntrpat1 » Mon Feb 06, 2012 3:30 pm

Mason chasing down a snow. After getting after that goose for 300 yards it flew off right right out of range. Mason gets back and says I hate snow geese.

Treetop and his buddy with some grays

The field hunt turned out great. Forty ducks, two specks and a snow that got away. Madison heflin (pink call) won worlds this year at 14. That girl can blow a call.

Sunday we hit The meto. Not very many birds but had a great time! Probably for the five inches of rain the day before.

The long long walk out

Great time had by all and a great way to end the season.

I see a nice Wigeon and a pile of smiles. Future generation says it all.

To be honest I think its a damn shame they have to make a youth season. My boys hunt 20+ days a year. Gotta learn them boys now to make my life a hell of a lot easier.

we took two of em out, they both got their first duck, couple teal. very rewarding to get them on a bunch of birds, maybe next year 15-20 shells/shots a piece will mean more than a few ducks in the bag!

PM me if you need a bloodtrailing hound.
