Re: iphone bow sight
It looks neat, but i feel like its just another variable that could go wrong. Examples: girlfriend decides to call at the wrong time or its too bright in low light conditions.

Cool idea, but like Ted said, too many things to go wrong. Plus seems like a litle too much movement if you had to readjust pin, sight picture, resolution, etc.

Re: iphone bow sight
it would be something fun to play around with, very cool idea but just too much that could go wrong with it
Re: iphone bow sight
My big question is how effective is it at low light? I'm sure it's using the phone's camera eye to view with and those just don't work too well in low light conditions...especially things 20-30 yds away.
It's better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

Re: iphone bow sight
my questions is why would any one want to make a bowsite out of a cell phone?

$99 for the program, no telling what the bracket costs. no way I wanna use my phone as the site. then how would I play angry birds?
on the plus side, some of the gobbles sounded good in the background.

Life's too damned complicated to make it too damned complicated
Re: iphone bow sight
It's cool and it definately gives you an insight into what bow/gun sights could be in a couple years, but at the same time it's rediculous. Wouldn't work in low light, would kill your nightvision in low light, the deer would see a bright light in the stand if it's early or late, it is a digital camera so there is a slight lag in the time the video shows up on the screen so it would be jerky. Plus it wouldn't be as clear as if it was regular sights obviously.
