Am I reading the Ser. Number right? 0997? I don't believe that was Warren County's number was it? What chapter did that gun come from? That gun's worth a hell of a lot more than any 4 to 500 dollars.

I am not sure about that chapter #, But it came from a Vicksburg banquet. I wouldn't consider selling for a few hundred bucks. I guess it would be best to keep it clean and let it remain unfired, right?

Sounds like it would be best to take it to say Cabelas and let the firearm collector look at it. He can appraise it and tell you how much it's worth. Certainly wouldn't fire it.
