up to 4.5" around Schlater.
Subsoiled fields are sucking it up as fast as it falls.

Unworked slick fields that are freshly harvested are piling up the rain.

Poor peanut farmers that havent finished harvesting are gonna have one heck of a time . I'm seeing a few peanut fields in wall to wall water.

Yesterday afternoon I sat in a box stand on a cut bean field just to see what would come out in all the rain, and I saw 25 deer and 1 big bear, but the funniest thing was a little button buck playing in a water puddle, and I do mean playing! I guess if he was born in June or July, he has never seen a water puddle before, and he didn't really know what to make of it. He would kick and paw at it and splash it all up & over his head, then get all nervous & jump around like he snorted a bumblebee or something, and then come running back and jump right back in the puddle, and start splashing again. He also drank like an elk, I mean just gulping it down. It was hilarious, and made my afternoon well worth the trouble! It reminded me of a 4 year old little boy with brand new sneakers, jumping up and down in a mud puddle and getting covered in it.....it was absolutely hilarious!

I don't know about the Delta, but Madison County near the Big Black was thirsty. I just got through disking food plots after 5 inches of rain. Ground broke up perfectly. Hit them again tomorrow, fertilizer and seed them on Friday.
