Doctor confirmed Leukemia in his bone marrow, but it was not found in his central nervous system or lymph nodes. They are not sure of the specific type at this time or method of treatment, but will likely start chemo on Monday.

Your continued prayers are appreciated.

Man I wish they had gotten the same relief we were given. But it does sound promising that they only found it in the bone marrow. Maybe it's in the early enough stages that treatments won't take long to cure it. I remember that feeling of looking at my little guy just old enough to stand up and hold on to the crib rails happy and laughing and having no idea what was going on. That just killed me. I know they have already felt that and more. They will probably question their faith at least a little so keep reminding them there is a plan for everything and it's in his plan just have faith. I know I did for a couple of hours and shouldn't have but seeing a kid who has done nothing wrong end up in that situation it's so hard not to question it. Pick out a Bible verse for them to lean on during this process. It helps tremendously! Prayers will continue to go up. Leaving early to go hug my little guy now.

Just read all this. Will keep them in my prayers! Let us know if he will need any blood transfusions or anything. I for one would be happy to donate under his name and I know many more on here would do the same!

Quick Update: Ryan and his family are FINALLY getting to go home from the hospital for a few days. The little guy has battled a virus and week-long fever, but his counts are now up and the doctors are confident that he can go home until his second round of chemo begins late next week. After 22 days in the hospital, they are all ready for some R&R.

Quick update on my little buddy Ryan, with GOOD news this time...

Ryan begins round two of four chemo treatments on Monday. They just received the results from his latest bone marrow biopsy and found NO CANCER!!! He is officially in remission! They will continue with the next three rounds of treatment, but this is a GREAT sign that he will be cured. Praise God! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for all the prayers. No doubting the power of prayer...

Have a great weekend!
