fluff, never happened...if I'm not mistaken most states where pretty close to even on popular vote, which would mean only half of any of these states would actually support such action, despite the petition.

As mentioned on the other thread, we (Ms) can't afford to leave the Union, but I fear that at some point down the road we won't be able to afford
to stay in it either.

Not going to happen, but Tx would have the best shot at it.. TX was it's own country for about 13 years and is the only state to ever have that status. That is sort of where Texas gets it's "attitude" from. I know my wife was all bent out of shape about the Texas attitude because of the slogans Tx has had over the years. Like "Don't Mess With Texas" and "Texas-It's like a whole other Country". She didn't realize that the Don't Mess With Texas was an anti litter campaign and the Whole Other Country is a tourism slogan.. After I enlightened her on that she was a little more understanding... But she still gets tired of me talking about Texas..

People from all 50 States have not filed to succeed from the union, and about 9 state have reached the 25k mark and a total of over 700k have signed in all.. The White House has said that they will answer the petitions..

You remember Katrina?? As soon as the Federal govt stops handing out checks and the lights go out, these coons would steal, pillage, rape, and plunder everything in site until there was nothing left. I can't imagine a worse state to be in than Mississippi if the $hit hit the fan and the africans lost their free ride.[/quote]
