Any of these places worth eating at in Tupelo?

Postby matador1 » Fri Feb 10, 2012 10:43 am

http://www.restaurant.com/rdc_site2.net ... ip=38801&# I've stated using this site a lot and decided since I have to go there tonight that I might want to look at it for Tupelo. What about Creekside, fish would be good and seems family friendly.

Family friendly. We all have braod taste so that's not a problme. Staying by the bancorp center if that matters but don't mind driving a bit if I need to.

Stables Bar & Grill - it's right there close to the bancorp south center. Good food and a great atmosphere. I got the ribeye and snow peas last time I was in there and it was great and fairly cheap for what I got. Not that it matters, but there was some good scenery in there too.

Harvey's or The Grill! The Bean family always have good food.

Connie's chicken is great for lunch (if they are still open). Danvers can please a family on a budget.

Connies for breakfast!!!! I ate there almost every day before high school. Get a chicken bisquit with gravy and a couple blue berry donuts.

They are still by far my favorite breakfast place of all time.

Connie's is still open.

The Grill is about 200 yds from the Hilton Garden Inn (which is where I assume you're staying), the food is good not great.

The Blue Canoe has really good food, just get there before the band starts because it is ridiculously loud.

The Stables is not family friendly IMO.

Harvey's has consistently good food.

Park Heights is within walking distance, but I wouldn't take a family there. Very expensive and it seems like they aren't even trying sometimes.

Danver's is my favorite lunch place. I took an a girl there once and after we ate she asked what the big deal was....I put her on the road.

Lost Pizza would be a great place to take the fam for dinner.

-all of these places are in the same area of town as the BXS Arena, but the only ones within walking distance are The Grill and Park heights and maybe the Stables.

The Grill is always a good choice and next door to the hotel. Creole shrimp wrap is always good, as are the crab cakes. The hotel restaurant has a good Sunday brunch if you are still in town. Zapata is good for Mexican and china capital is the best choice for Chinese.
I am not familiar with creekside.

Did the grill for dinner Friday night adn Harveys for lunch Saturday. Both were great, thanks for the opinions. Got to go back end of March, will probably do the same.
