Why is my mouth so dry this morning, when I drank so much last night?

The two loudest sounds in the world are a BANG when you expect a CLICK and a CLICK when you expect a BANG.

An 80 series LC is comparable in price to a LR disco. A 100 series is a great cruiser but even a 2000 model with high miles is going to run you around $10k. My sister has a 2000 LC with just shy of 300k miles and will still make a long trip without missing a beat. Dad has a 2004 LC with 200k miles and no problems. I had an 88 that would go anywhere and regret selling it every day. If your looking for a classic tough vehicle for all around use, you can't beat a FJ 62.

It has 90000 miles on it and I can get it for 4. I don't know anything about them. My wife loves it but I am scared of it cause I don't know anything bout them a lot say they are bad and few say they are good.

The British have never been known for quality automobiles - oh, they're cute and everything, but...
Buy yourself a Toyota FJ-40 if you want a rugged, cool vehicle. Restore it if you'd like and you will not lose money on it. Or, how about the 4 door wagons - FJ-60's were built from 83-87 - more manual trannys and roll-up windows and prolly no AC. FJ-62's built from 88-90-1/2 with more autos and AC and electric windows. I had an '89 a few years ago and now wish I would not have sold it. FJ-80 started in 91 and ran til 97 - really cool and probably the best overall. Had one of those too. FJ-82 Started in 98 and is still current - independent suspension, still great but made more for the soccer moms.

Son, be sure to check the oil. The gas will take care of itself. George Carter - Circa 1965

I had a Range Rover and it was constantly in the shop. Too much crap on those things that can go wrong, don't waste your time.

Whats wrong with a wrangler? They look kinda like that D90 thing on the other page. What makes them so much better than jeeps?

Re: thinking bout buying a land rover
I dont know squat about the land rover but I know a mam who can read and turn a wrench can save thousands in repair bills. I saved about 900 bucks this weekend by fixing an oil leak on my BMW myself. And in the morning i'll be replacing my tensioner pulley and am going to save 700 by doing it myself... Will take about an hour to do it...
