If I'm splurging, Ridgemont Reserve 1792. 10 year old Old Charter is also good, as is Maker's and Wild Turkey.

This is always in interesting discussion to see which bourbon is popular in different areas. Over here in the Alabama Black Belt, everyone drinks Old Forester as the every day bourbon. I like Woodford Reserve as well, but Old Forester is always on hand.

Pappys is hard to find around Golden Triangle. Franks in West Point gets a order every year but it is all spoken for before it hits the shelf. I have bought a few bottles on eBay. There are a few bottles on there now.

OK......I've know about Pappy Van Winkle for a while, but it seems like on this-a-here-website some folks take the ball and roll with it. How many of yall are really out there drinkin on a $96-$300 bottle of bourbon? Last year it was Four Roses "all the cool kids" were just raving about being the best. I drink alot of bourbon, but had never heard of the stuff. Went out and bought some and wasnt that impressed. This year I have heard a discussion or two about Pappy Van Winkle and have never heard so much talk as in the last 2 weeks. You would think if'n it was as good as e'rrybody says, or 26yr old per bottle, then it would have been talked about alot more over the year on our annual whiskey discussions. It's like some people just pick something expensive or "the cool thing" and say "yeah thats good stuff and it's my favorite". If'n I were a bettin man, and as hard to come by as it is, I would venture to say that some people who are out saying they are drankin on a $300 bottle of bourbon are full of it................I'm not sayin....I'm just sayin

I don't drink often, but when I do have a drink, SoCo is my preference.
