standby hunting - new rules

Postby randywallace » Tue Sep 13, 2011 4:04 pm

You reckon the new rules this year where they are drawing for every single hole on a couple of the WMAs have anything to do with the asshats that were gaming the standby system (4 guys show up planning to hunt as a group, but each put their name in the hat seperately and then all hunt with whichever got the best draw)?

Nope, atleast at the draw I went to all members of a party had to be signed up in one group, and your name could not appear more than once. So unless the one conducting the draws overlooked that it was set up so no one could cheat.

The draws at the places they were implemented were largely needed at those locations and worked well, now they go screw it up.

However they probably think that people complained about the $15 WMA permit, then later the draws, now this crap, then when we get complacent with that they will screw us some more.
