1st choice is Rem Hypersonic 3" #2 or #4 depens on where i am hunting. they do leave the shoulder a lil sore though.
2nd choice would be Kent Fasteel in 3 or 3 1/2 in #2 if you are not gonna take the time to pattern your gun these are the best all around shell to me. Everybody I hunt with uses these with no probs.

I'll come in 3rd saying the Rem Hypersonic. They're some bad dudes. In a tight timber hole Remington Sportsman Loads 3" number 2 do just fine...

By far the best I shot last year were Remington Hypersonic #2 3in or #4. Made some long shots with them, but the best part was they were dead when they hit water, don't have to shoot cripples using these.

Whatever is on sale in a 3"
Re: What is your favorite kind of shell and shot size?
Blake/RNAIL,
What are your thoughts on the recoil of Hypersonic? From all that I have read, recoil is substantially greater with Hypersonic.
You will notice a small amount of extra recoil if you are target shooting, but when you are on a duck and pull the trigger I never feel it, out to 30 yards just hold on the head and fire away.

I will also give kudos to Remington Hypersonics in a 3" #2. They really are some bad shells. My second pick, rag me if you must, but 3" Xpert #3 1550 fps they killed em dead this past year and $9.99 a box at Wal-Mart ain't too shabby.
